We are delighted to announce that Eyal Shifroni, Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher & Author will be giving a workshop in Lisbon, Portugal.

Here you can read a little bit about the teacher:

“Born in 1954, my yoga journey began in 1978, and I´ve been teaching Iyengar. Yoga since 1985. A transformative milestone was my first visit to Pune in 1988, where I studied directly under the guidance of Guruji, B.K.S. Iyengar. These immersive experiences continued regularly until 2018, enriching my practice and understanding of Iyengar Yoga. In 2009, I received a Senior Intermediate III certificate from Guruji.

As a Senior-Level teacher, I lead the “Iyengar Yoga Center of Zichron-Ya´akov” in Israel and conduct yoga workshops both in Israel and worldwide.

My passion for yoga has led to the authorship of six books on the subject, including “A Chair for Yoga,” “Props for Yoga Vol. I, II, and III,” “The Psychophysical Lab,” “The Extended Chair for Yoga,” and “Yoga in Nature – Using Natural Props.” These books have been translated into multiple languages. I also regularly write articles on yoga practice and philosophy. Notably, I’ve translated two of B.K.S. Iyengar’s books, “The Tree of Yoga” and “Light on Pranayama,” into Hebrew.

I am an active member of the Iyengar Yoga Association of Israel, conducting teacher training courses and contributing to the certification process. Beyond yoga, I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Technion (the Israeli Institute of Technology) and have taught Computer Science in colleges in Israel for many years.

In my workshops, I delve into the themes of my books to deepen the understanding of our practice using props and explore the intricate connections between the body and mind”.

Saturday – May, 18 – 10:00 – 13:00 ;  14:30 – 17:00
Sunday – May, 19 – 9:00 – 13:00 (with a small break after pranayama)
